We can get the mouse to hide in all of the other presentations except on the traffic map widget. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

How do even get mouse pointer there? I do not want to say you should not use Traffic Widget, but have you tried simply Custom URL Widget? Set your map in Google maps and use the link to that page in the widget. Do not forget to set the refresh time. It does blink at refresh, so use something like 30min. This way traffic info stays relatively accurate and the refresh does not bother people all that much. Mine looks like that: https://storage.googleapis.com/risemedialibrary-77d65575-178b-499c-a476-eb66c5424a89/Acme%20Sign%20C...

Greetings,

Are you attempting to hide the mouse in a preview of your presentation, or in a live display being run from the Rise Vision Player?

If you are attempting to hide the mouse in a preview this is possible, but will require custom CSS (as it would to hide the mouse for any other widget in a preview)

If you are attempting to hide the mouse in a display being run from the Rise Vision player it is as simple as leaving the "Hide Mouse Pointer" option on the presentations settings checked (it is checked by default in every presentation you make in Rise Vision and must be unchecked to even begin showing a mouse pointer).

I agree with CAISupport. Perhaps you are seeing mouse pointer in preview, which is normal. You are not gonna see it on actual display, unless unchecked "hide mouse pointer."

I just tested both custom url and traffic widget maps on my display and I cannot see mouse pointers on either of them.

It is still present, and no - the displays are not in preview, they are live. We have the 'hid mouse' checked and it is still visible.

After staring at the screens for a while now we've decided it  only happens when the map is updating. However, the map has stopped updating. We installed these 2 displays yesterday and all was working fine - except for the mouse on the map - until a few hours ago. We have our 'test' display that is behaving fine but on the two other 'live' displays the map has stopped updating. They will update if we restart the player or push an update but then it freezes.

There is no html/css on the presentation. It is built with a white back ground, a time/date embedded presentation (mouse off), then the map, and then a few text/picture boxes.

Unfortunately all I know is the win 7 information. The PC's are already in the rack. What specifics are you looking for and I can see if I can log into them and get that for you.

The issue where traffic doesn't update is actually something we've noticed ourselves. It seems to be an issue with the browser caching the traffic map tiles. This post details the problem and includes a workaround we're going to look at incorporating into the traffic widget: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/25687831/refreshing-google-maps-api-v3-layers

We'll need to do a bit of implementation and testing, but if we find this works, we'll push out an update to the widget with it included. We'll provide an update here on the forum to let everyone know how that works out!

Well then... any idea on when this might be resolved?

We're going to try that workaround tomorrow...If it does the trick, we'd likely update the widget early next week, after a few days of testing. We'll post an update tomorrow either way.

I have noticed something else about the traffic updating issue. We have 3 displays, 2 live and 1 test. The test player is running the 'rise player' with the icon being the green triangle and little PC. The live players are the 'rise vision player' with the icon being the circle/globe. The 'rise player' IS updating, the others are not.
