Hello, first I am loving Rise Vision, new to this but love working with it. I am looking to place a placeholder (Text Scroller) on all of my pages having the same scroll of text. The text may need to be changed at times. But I do not want to have to go back and change all of the text on all of the presentations. Is there an easy way to share the placeholder on multiple presentations or is there a way to change it globally? Thanks in advance. I am a little confused on this...

Hi Joe,

You can create separate presentation just for your text scroller and have it (entire presentation) inserted in other multiple presentations. This way the changes you made for that text scroller presentation would appear wherever it was inserted.

Either of the above suggestions would work for you, however the Spreadsheet Widget may serve the purpose best. This is controlled by a Google Spreadsheet, so any changes to that Spreadsheet would be universal to any presentation that is displaying it.

We have an article here on configuring your Google Spreadsheet for use with the widget, and an video here on setting up the widget itself.

Thanks very much, Both suggestions worked very well for me. I ended up using the text scroller as it was the easiest solution for me at this time. But I am going to work with the Google Spreadsheet a little more in the future. Again thanks to all who helped me.

I have had great luck with the spread sheet. We are using it for menu pricing were multiple most of the items appear on several menus. I our case we give the customer access to the spread sheet so they can change prices.

Hello friends,

Here is another option for scrolling content:

Using the HTML widget will give you more autonomy over speed, content, and the direction of the elements you would like to scroll.
