I have a basic custom table layout html file for a google sheet.  I am only using one column.  I have been trying for a couple days to do one of the following (the least complex is preferred):
1.  Using HTML color the text, or background, of static cells from the source.
2.  Using HTML color the text, or background, of cells with specific text (ie. if the cell has R1, then font color= #FF0000.
Any assistance would help me get through this mind block.

Regards,

Nick

I solved my own question, for anyone it may help:

To change the color of a specific cell in a column I used the following html to change the background of the fourth cell to red-

tr:nth-child(4){
    background-color:#ff0000;
 }

I was only using one column from the source sheet.
