Have splitter that works great at one location.. but when I try it somewhere else the resolution drops to 1360x768.  All three monitors on the splitter are 1080.  If I do one at a time I get 1080 np.  Any thoughts

Hi Steven,
When you try the HDMI splitter on the other location, can the resolution can go higher than 1360x768?

I have to check the make and model of the splitter that works at the other location.. Might be as easy as buying the same one

Hi Steven,
That would be a good starting point re: checking the one that works!

HDMI doesn't really "split". The computer is expecting two way communication with a display device for EDID and HDCP. Same goes for the display devices. Some splitters have an EDID manager and/or sort of spoof the display. On some of those the order the displays are connected to the splitter matters or the splitter has EDID selection switches. HDMI distribution can be fussy.
