I have been running a presentation that has a Google Presentation embedded in it. It has been running fine for about two months, but recently the Google Presentation is only showing black slides. You can see that the presentation is running because the slides are advancing.

I have tried rebooting computer (we're running it in two locations on a Chromebox), reinserting the embed code, but can't seem to fix it.

The presentation does show fine when I preview it.

Matt,

Was there any changes to the Presentation (ours, or Google's) that may have prompted this result?

Thanks.

Nothing that I can see. I have tried to set this up so that the person who updates the presentation just goes in every day and makes changes to the Google Presentation that is already embedded in the RV Presentation. There should be little else that needs to change on a daily basis.

Can you try restarting the Player via the button on the Display's page?  Clicking on that button will clear the cache as part of the process which could correct what you're seeing.

Thanks.

OK, I restarted the player and unfortunately, we're still seeing only a black screen where the Google Presentation should be playing.

Strangely, the first slide of the presentation does show, but it goes black as soon as it advances to the next slide.

If I'm looking at the proper Presentation, did the Google Presentation consist of animations previously going from slide to slide?

Yes, I just pulled up the original presentation and it does include animated transitions between slides.

I will chime in on this. In early October we swapped our devices driving the TVs to Chromeboxes. The Android devices I had previously and the chromboxes i have now have been rock solid up until the last week or so when we started observing the same issue as Matt.

Here is a link to my pres.. http://preview.risevision.com/Viewer....

When previewing the presentation from my computer the slides advance correctly. On the Chromeboxes the last two slides just show as black screens. No orange background, no content, just black. After the 10 second transition time the presentation starts over again and works fine up until those last two slides.

I have tried everything I can think off...
Rebooted the chromeboxes, adjusted the presentation (removed slides, adjusted transition times, etc), deleted the placeholder an re-added the embed code.

I'm at a loss of what to do next.

I should note...I just did a restart on the player one last time. The presentation went through in its entirety correctly one time. When the presentation looped back to the beginning to start over it showed the black on the last two slides and has stayed that way.

Trent,

It was observed in a this thread that if you removed the transitions from the Google Presentation it will then show up consistently.

Thanks.
