Google Calendar Scrolling - Daily Variable Lengths

I've created a Schedule composed of three Presentations.  Two of the Presentations are static and can be displayed for however long deemed necessary.  The other Presentation (Announcements & Birthdays) consists of Google Calendar Placeholder that displays weekly events that will vary everyday.

Ideally, I would like it to begin with a 5 second pause, scroll to the end, then flip to the next Presentation.  I cannot get the PUD to work.  So, I've been playing with the Duration: playing the Announcements & Birthdays Presentation for 30 or 45 or even 60 seconds. These varied times will repeat the Google Calendar until whatever time is reached then flip to the next Presentation.

The problem is that when the Announcements & Birthdays Presentation comes back around, it doesn't necessarily start at the beginning.  It starts wherever it previously ended.  There are occasions in my trials when the Presentation merely displays the heading WITHOUT events every other or every third time around.

DESIRED SOLUTION:
It would be great if the PUD worked and the Announcements & Birthday Presentation played once - in its entirety - on every rotation.

SECONDARY SOLUTION:
If the PUD is not an option, then the ability to set the Presentation for a set duration (maybe 45 seconds), rotate the events as necessary to fill the 45 seconds, and start at the beginning of the Calendar Events on every rotation.

Hello Robert,

Thanks for letting us know about this. We are investigating a possible bug in the Google Calendar Widget at this time. I have cloned the Presentation you mentioned to my account and found it has several placeholders and am testing this right now.

I will update you with more information as soon as possible!

I'm a little confused, Mike.  In the link I sent is a Placeholder called Calendar.  Within Calendar, I thought there was Google Calendar widget.  Is this not the case?

Hello Robert,

That was my mistake, which has been amended in my reply. When I copied your Presentation there was a setting that needed to be changed at my end. At the moment, I have your Presentations showing in the same order:

Stats
Announcements
Integrity

in an attempt to replicate any Calendar problem with PUD or timing, as mentioned.

Thanks!

Robert,

I wanted to update to you and advise during my troubleshooting of your Presentations, I believe the error causing this is related to the PUD - Play Until Done setting in your Placeholder, Presentation, and Schedule setting.

In the image below, you can see in your Announcements Presentation, the Google Calendar widget is set to Play Until Done. Also, in the top of the Presentation, next to where it's name would be, by clicking the Gear, you want to make sure the Play Until Done placeholder is set to the proper widget - in this case, the Calendar widget. Schedules, Presentations, and Placeholders are linked when using Play Until Done, so setting the proper placeholder is important for proper playback.

Following this, in your Schedule, be sure you set the correct Presentation to use Play Until Done. The others in the schedule, before and after the Presentation that's configured to PUD, can have timing on them, if you'd like, or they can also be set to PUD. If you set other Presentations in a Schedule to Play Until Done, be sure you set the widget and placeholder to Play Until Done as well, to complete the circle.

Please try this, and if you have any trouble, let us know!

Mike Thomas

Well, that was the KEY, Mike!  I missed that step altogether.  The presentation is working exactly as I want it now.  Thank you very much!

Maybe I spoke too soon.  Every eighth rotation shows the Announcements & Birthdays presentation with ONLY the title and nothing else.
