I noticed today that the google calendar widget is not removing past events anymore from the list like i have it set up to do. Anyone else having this issue?

Josh,

Could you provide me a link to preview your presentation? I'm not seeing this locally, so I'd just like to check out a few things.

Blake,

Here is the link to the presentation. Now that i have restarted the presentation it seems to work but after a day or two without the player being restarted it seems to act up again and only recently has this started.  http://preview.risevision.com/?type=schedule&id=b2c7b632-9ef4-4ee0-af2f-53061869ac49&showui=...

Google has changed the way of autorefresh and update. I have the same issue with a google sheet. I added the code below in the editor with the trigger set to 1 hour, and keep the sheet open in a browser on a server. It justs fillls 1 cell with an 'x' that forces a save. Does the trick.

function myFunction() {
  SpreadsheetApp.getActiveSheet().getRange('B1').setValue('x');
}

On the same placeholder, try adding a text box with one letter (in black with black background so you don't see it) with timeframe of 1 second. After that, the player will reload the google calendar. For testing set the duration of your calendar object in the placeholder at 5 minutes or so. Afterworths 2 hours perhaps?

That worked for me with a html weather widget that only updates when loaded. During the day, the forecasts changed. So on 1 screen it was 4°, on another 7°. People asked questions :)

Yeah tried that and tried changing the time of the object just as it self and neither worked.

Rob,

Curious about where you got the information regarding Google changing it's autorefresh and update. Could you provide a source? I'd like to pass this along to our developers.
