Google Calendar Custom Layout works, but styles don't apply

I have successfully modified the layout of the Google Calendar Widget by hosting the files from the GIT project on my website, but none of the styles are working.

The text colours and other styles are still the ones set in the Rise Vision widget setting, even though the custom template URL is set, and working for the layout.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Nicholas,

If you want to use your own styles, you'll need to create your own stylesheet and update the location of the CSS file in the custom layout file.

Does that help?

Hi Robb, thanks for the comment. I have created the stylesheet as recommended on the GIT page, and even tried inline CSS on the  widget.html file, but no luck so far.

Nicholas,

I wonder if this has to do with where your style sheet is being stored. Is it being store in Rise Storage?

Take a look at this conversation, I wonder if the same restriction is being applied to your layout when it is not stored in Storage.

Let me know if that helps!
Hi Robb, thanks for the tip. The files are not being stored in Rise Storage, but on the same server my website is.

I couldn't get the styles to apply, so I ended up just being satisfied with the layout tweaked with the outside widget.html file, and letting the Rise Vision styles apply.

I'm glad to hear that our styles will work for you Nicholas!

However if you do decide to try Storage and that works, I would love to hear if that corrects it.

Thanks!
