My calendars are public.

I updated from gadgets to widgets yesterday.

Everything shows perfectly on the preview  viewer.   Display however shows blank.

Would love some advice.

Hi Larry,

Are you using a Cenique device to show the Presentation?  I know that there's an issue with Cenique devices showing the Calendar Widget that is currently being looked into.

Thanks.

How did you update from Gadgets to Widgets. Mine is apparently a Gadget, no Widgets show up and the Calendar Gadget that was working fine since Nov. 5 quit working. It says the Calendar cannot be read and tells me to verify the sharing and address. Since it had been working I did not want to change anything, but went back to the calendar, uploaded latest stuff from our website calendar, then double checked it is publicly shared about 20 times. Same error upon save... Calendar at that ID cannot be read. Where are Widgets, only see one Google Calendar module in the store.

Hi Patricia,

The Google Calendar item in the Store is the Widget.  You'll need to add this and remove the old Gadget from your Presentation.

Thanks.

Not sure what a cenique device is.  I am using a android minix.  If that is what you are referring to

I added a line of code to catch javascript errors called myapplication and here is what i get in my Logcat in android running the widget. This is running on a 4.2.2 device and i haven't checked on 4.4. Might have one of the developers look at this as well just to see if its something that could be fixed.

I can confirm its an issue with 4.2.2 devices because 4.4 worked on my device. Their are two solutions you can take. One upgrade the firmware to 4.4 which should be available through minix. Two you could also try the My Rise Player Test app which updates webview(browser) to newer version of chromium. That test app is also on the play store to download. It was made for these types of issues. Webview on 4.2.2 is really outdated so I'm afraid that as time goes on these issues will start to appear. Thats why i suggest 4.4 or the my rise player test so that your getting a newer version of webview.

Larry,

A fix was deployed earlier today that addresses the issues pertaining to earlier versions of Android.  You may need to clear your devices cache for the changes to take effect.

Thanks.

I do believe you can go back to the original version of the app now. Rise has fixed the issue and it should be working on the original player. I have tested it and it worked.

Its weird that the test version has that issue but then again 4.2.2 on most mini pc devices was really bad from the start with. I have in the works to updating the test player again with a new version of webview. Hopefully if i get it done it will fix some of the little issues the old webview might be causing.

Anyway i would suggest going back if the test app is giving you an issue. Test is really meant for experimenting and i left it out there just for the use of getting devices with issues to work.
