Gadget Help Files & Twitter

Greetings! It appears all the gadget help file url's listed in previous support answers aren't there anymore. For example I wanted to learn about creating a slide show for my presentation, there is a link listed: http://www.risevision.com/help/gadget... however it just goes to the generic help page.

I also was having an issue with the twitter gadget. I wanted to simply list our radio station's twitter, and some of them work, and for some reason others do not. I was using "from:sunny1079fm" and that was displaying our @sunny1079fm twitter. However using "from:979wrmf" and our @979wrmf twitter was not displaying. Thanks for your help!

Noah,

Thanks for bringing the help file issue to our attention, we are on top of getting it corrected now.

Regarding your Twitter query, if you check out this page, you can see that the last tweets from this account were in November of last year, which is too far back for the Gadget to display. Twitter isn't really forthcoming with how far their API will go back to grab Tweets, but I think it varies between 4 and 6 days. Using the @ search query, I can see there were references as of March 28th, and when I add that to the Twitter List Gadget in a Presentation, it shows me tweets made since then.

Let me know if that helps or if you are still having trouble.

Thanks

Rob, it's strange, we're actively tweeting on that twitter handle http://www.twitter.com/979wrmf but it doesn't show up in twitters search, any ideas why?

Hi Noah,

That is strange. When I do a search, I get the same results as Robb (tweets from last November). The only bit of information I can find had to do with Protected tweets. They do not show up in search results - which is probably why you're not getting results.

Can you check that the tweets you are posting are public, and don't have some setting involved that could limit their results in searches?

Noah,

Just so you know that the links for the Gadget Help pages have been corrected.

Thanks for your patience during this.

Hi Noah and Jeffery,

The information in Help files would become out-of-date so quickly that we decided to remove them rather than have them be incorrect.  If you have any specific questions can you post them here in Community?
