I have published two small  small flash files and three images on one player. Initially everything worked fine, but now after a while I have a "Play" symbol over the flash files and they do not play.

One example is.
http://infochannel.no/Portals/infochannel/StangeEnergi/WeatherWidget2015/weather.html
and the clock:
http://infochannel.no/Portals/infochannel/StangeEnergi/flip_clock_black_24_w-secs.swf?ver=2015-09-02...

It plays fine in Preview mode, but not on player anymore.

It shows a play symbol like the belov file:

Any idea why this happen?

What player is that? What are you using to play flash; is it a widget?
If you currently are using RV widget, try substituting it with 'custom URL' webpages playing your flash files. This approached worked for me much better for both flash and videos files. Simply create small webpage containing only your flash file. Drop it in your storage and then pull it to your presentation with 'custom URL.' Yet trey it if only you are certain that it is not your player causing this problem.

Hi. Thanks for your reply.
I use a player on Windows. Actually, I am using Custom URL and are using the URLs as shown in the original message. It worked fine for several days, but not any more.
If I open the URL in IE on the player itself, IE shows the flash files correct.

Hi Anders - are you using the Chrome App player on your Windows media player?

Anders,

Google pushed out Chrome 45 earlier this month, which disables and removes flash by default. Since the player you're using is Chrome based, and my guess is that it auto-updated to 45, it's not going to be able to display that Flash content.

The only alternative here is to rebuild or convert the content you're using to another format that is HTML5 friendly.

I'll be posting an announcement on this as soon as possible.

Whoa! I did not even think about that. Just checked, indeed, our managed chrome device stayed locked in 44, and non-managed updated to 45. Surprisingly no crashes this time :) or problems of any sort. But what RV is saying, is it safe to update chrome to v45?

Darius,

We always recommend that you stay 2 to 3 versions behind the current Chrome version and disable the auto-update feature on Chrome OS.

Thank you for the information. We have now started to convert these flash files to HTML5 and then I believe the problem is solved. I shall also turn off automatic update :-)
Thanks for the help.

Anders,

No problem at all!
