Hi all,
Is there any way in presentation to "fix" a place holder position ? I try to create a menu board and I would like the user to be able to modify only the contents of a text without being able to change the position of the holder.

Thanks by advance for your help

Could the spreadsheet widget be used here? The user would then only need to update the spreadsheet with new items/prices and they would be reflected on refresh.

Thank you.
I've been trying the widget googlesheet for several weeks but I'm having problems. I do not know today whether it comes from google or risevision. Sometimes the data will no longer be updated. Obligated to restart risevision (I use riseplayer on Chrome OS). I was looking for another solution.

Google sheets is one way to do that. Alternatively, you could try Google Slides as I did here: http://preview.risevision.com/?type=presentation&id=6a74520b-db9b-4f54-8a38-8d6afaea014c
It is a big presentation. give it some time to upload, but you are looking at the 'white board.'

Link to the slide: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/184SO54dkfw3crA-jBuhmG8XDxjF-eK19XS5h8GMnHlc/edit?usp=sharing

There is a little bit HTML involved, but nothing overwhelming. We shared this Google Slide with the client and gave them the rights to edit this file. Now they can add more slides if needed. They cannot access presentation, only we can do that. I can provide more details on how to do that if interested.

Few things to consider. Shared Google Slides iframe comes with a black fame and Google bar at the bottom. I create slightly larger slide. For example, for 100X100px Placeholder in RV I would make 105X105px slide. Then I would make a basic webpage with DIV container 105X105px. I would then place slides iframe in it. Add overflow:hidden to DIV and frameborder="0" for IFRAME. Also set webpage body all margins to 0px. And the last, set DIV top and left margins to -5px.

Upload the webpage to RV Storage or any other storage for that matter. Now go and create 100X100px Placeholder in you presentation and use the Webpage Widget to show the content. Apply refresh interval as needed.

Hi,
In previous topic before merge, Robb talk about Embeded presentation. It's interesting if the final user can only change text on presentation. I don't know how to test or implement this. Have you some information about this way ? Thanks a lot !
