I am not familiar with FireTV for digital signage, and if nothing else works, you can try simly rotating placeholder's content with HTML code as I did here:

Basically you take placeholder and apply <style> with rotation code to it within HTML view. This is what I did for that preview:

<style type="text/css">
#placeholderN {
-webkit-transform: rotate(180deg);
    -moz-transform: rotate(180deg);
height: 360px;
width: 640px;
#placeholderE {
-webkit-transform: rotate(-90deg);
    -moz-transform: rotate(-90deg);
height: 360px;
width: 640px;
#placeholderW {
-webkit-transform: rotate(90deg);
    -moz-transform: rotate(90deg);
height: 360px;
width: 640px;

<body style="width:1280px;height:1024px; margin: 0; overflow: hidden;background:rgb(0, 0, 0);background-size:contain;" >
<div  id="placeholderN" placeholder="true" style="width:640px;height:360px;left:320px;top:0px;z-index:0;position:absolute;"></div>
<div  id="placeholderS" placeholder="true" style="width:640px;height:360px;left:320px;top:664px;z-index:1;position:absolute;"></div>
<div  id="placeholderE" placeholder="true" style="width:640px;height:360px;left:780px;top:332px;z-index:2;position:absolute;"></div>
<div  id="placeholderW" placeholder="true" style="width:640px;height:360px;left:-140px;top:332px;z-index:3;position:absolute;"></div>

We don't develop or support a player for Android. You may want to ask Scott's Digital Signage for assistance. They can be reached at

Portrait is not supported on any fire tv box or stick. It's something Amazon won't support.
