Fire Drill and Lock down Alerts only to Push out and Override Presentations?

Hello Everyone,
We only want to use this alert feature to over ride current default presentations and force the Fire Drill or Lock down presentation to take over on all signs for a specified time frame. We are not looking for the complexity of Cap 1.2 compliant Alerts. Is there an easy way to get these to do this with RV?
Please let me know.
Thank you,
JB

JB, how are you going to activate these presentations, what is going to trigger them?

Ideally we would like to be able to trigger them manually and deactivate it after the drill is complete. Also when there is a fire we would want the fire alarm system to trigger them automatically. I have no clue how to get this to implemented. We are getting a new fire alarm system soon so hopefully we could integrate RV alerts into this somehow.

JB, basically all you need is to create another full-screen placeholder on top of everything within that presentation. Then go to the placeholder properties where you gonna be able to apply timing settings for that particular placeholder. As per alarm triggered RV system response... I do not really think you can do anything within RV system itself. But something could be done outside RV, some custom webpage that would be pulled to RV with Web Page Widget.

Darius - Yeah, I could see how the WebPage Widget could work. If you have a Web Page Widget over the whole presentation pointing to a blank website, then when the alert comes on, edit the Web Page Widget's contents. Also have to make sure that there is a data refresh interval set.

JB, let us know if you need assistance in terms of adding a Web Page Widget!

Thanks

I made a post in this thread that shows how to use the alert feature manually using post and the right formatting.  The hardest part is ensuring the time format is correct.  If you could make a simple form that allows this to happen easier, it would be great.
