Error unzipping C:\Users\nnnnnnnn\AppData\Local\Temp\chrome-win64-47.0.2526.106.tar.gz. Please try again or post a question to http://community.risevision.com.

We have sucessfully installed the player now on two PC's but the next two come up with this when trying to download the player from the web or USB stick.

Has anyone seen this ? both PC's have pleanty of space..

Hi Steve,

Thanks for reporting this. We are trying to find out where in the installer events this is occurring. For the two machines that have this message can you please let us know:

- What OS they are on (i.e. Win 7)
- If known, what arch (32bit or 64bit)
- Are these two machines on the same network as the other two that are working
- Is there anything else in the environment that could be affecting the process?

Feel free to email support@risevision.com with these details. There is also installer-events.log and installer-detail.log (in rvplayer folder) which also has more information about the events. Also it would be very useful for us to arrange a remote troubleshooting session with these problem machines. If you can please email support@risevision.com and your local time and we'll go from there. Please note we are on EST time. Thanks!

Hannah

Thanks Hannah , I will check the logs first. We ended up just copying the installed folder from another PC with the player on and changing the display ID but I will see if the logs shed light on the issue.

Steve thanks. It would be appreciated if you are able to send through the logs.

The installer fails extracting the chrome files to the temp folder so the RVPLAYER directory has not been created at this point so I guess no logs

Hi,
Thanks for the update, I can't say for sure what happened behind the scenes but reading on what you did (re moving extracted files/folder) did the trick. If there is anything else, let us know.
