Error trying to connect to server

I setup 2 players in our office, connected them to presentations, had them running without issue. I then took them onsite, both at same location, plugged them in, connected to the internet via ethernet, DHCP. The Installing window appears, then a message saying it cannot connect shows up. I rebooted several times got the same message. I noticed that it was taking perhaps a minute or so to get connected to the internet and thought maybe Rise was timing out before that. At this point I set up static IP on them which sped up the internet connection part, but am still getting the error message. Any ideas on what may be causing the issue? Port 80 is open, and it is running on a Linux based NUC.

Hi Dave,

How recently did you install the Rise Player software on this media player?

Can you connect to the internet on these devices? In a web browser from one of them, can you access risevision.com?

I installed the software on Tuesday, which was a fiasco, I had that whole internet connection issue, but once I downloaded the installer and re-installed, it worked well, and they were running content here before I took them onsite.

I am able to access the internet, Google, Risevision.com etc. from the players onsite.

Dave,

Would we be able to set up remote access to this unit to see what's going on? Just shoot support@risevision.com a message and we'll get you set up. Thanks!

I am not onsite, they are about an hour away, what would need to happen to set this up?

Hi Dave,
I have just reached out to you (via Intercom email) regarding the remote access that Blake mentioned earlier. This will contain the link and code to access the temporary remote session. Let me know if you have not received the email,
Thanks
Hannah
