As the title suggests. Any ideas?

Had the Chrome player installed, and think I've removed it properly... Trying to replace it with the x64 Windows Player on Windows 8.

Hi Thomas,
Thank you for reporting this. In the problem machine, are you able to locate the rvplayer folder as there should be logs called installer-event.log and installer-detail.log. This will help us locate the source of the error and work through this bug. Please send it through support@risevision.com.

Also you have mentioned that there was the Chrome player installed.. you are right, in that the installation will not go through if CAP is located in that machine.

Thanks,
Hannah

Hi Thomas,
Thanks for sending them through!
I've sent you a response. With a couple of notes:
- On the first two attempts, this was due to the Chrome App Player already existing. However, I've logged a suggestion with the team to write a better message including details on how to delete Chrome App Player.
- The final issue (one reported in this thread) is around not being able to download one of the components which is related to a network issue. If the Installer is unable to download a component, it will send out an error message about the download. When this happens, the case is to try again. The message in this log itself is "2016/01/07 13:19:56 - Error downloading http://install-versions.risevision.co.... "
If there is anything else please let me know

Hannah
