Hey Everyone,

My company, Snapp Digital, has developed a simplified advertising platform for digital signage networks. We’ve made it so advertisers can select screens/locations, buy space, upload and deploy their ads, and manage their ads all by themselves through our platform. No more “Call for prices” or timely edits, they can see everything from their dashboard.

As for the network owners (YOU), we become your “ad sales force”. We handle all your current advertisers, we house all of their content on our servers, we handle customer service related to the ad side, we let you decide who approves ads before they go live, we even handle payments so that you can focus your attention on expanding your network and providing excellent service to your screens and locations. It’s like having your own in-house ad team.

An added benefit... as our platform grows so will your exposure to more and more advertisers. Your screens are always visible to anyone who uses our platform to buy ads and therefore increases the exposure of your network to these buyers. As buyers become more aware of your ad space, you could eventually sit back and cash checks each month without needing to go out and beat the pavement to find advertisers.

We offer our product now to networks looking to start advertising for their signage network(s). However we know that doing this on networks with existing software like Rise Vision’s can be unappealing (having to switch and lean CMS systems and reload new software to existing hardware etc), so we are looking to develop an app that sits nicely in the Rise system and allows your screen space to become available for purchase on our platform.

We have been doing some initial testing, however before we put a lot of time and resources into the app, Rise Vision recommended that we get your comments and feedback. Please let us know below or feel free to reach out to us directly: support@snappdigital.com

FAQ

Q: So, what’s the catch? How much is it?

A: You pay an initial 1 time fee of $50 for the app through the Rise store per device. This gives you access to the app to apply it to your Rise CMS. Afterwards, we run strictly on a performance base model where we take only 20% of the ads sold through our platform and you receive the remaining 80%. This covers all our services including marketing to attract more advertisers to the platform. If nothing sells, you don’t pay anything... ever!

Thanks for using the Community as a feedback-gathering platform for your signage network!

No problem and thanks for allowing us to. We hope to get some good responses and would love to fully develop an app for Rise to help network owners on the ad side of things. Thanks again!

Looks very cool but I would only be interested in using the tool to manage my own advertising sales. Is this something you would consider? A white-label solution to allow my clients to book ads only on my network and I manage the ad sales & customer service.

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback.... and YES, we've been considering this as an option with the ability for you to isolate your network, or if you want to, open it up for more advertisers to discover and buy.

Besides the white-labeling, what other core features would you want/need to effectively run your ad network?

Thanks again!

I created an account and will play around a bit more but my first impressions are great. Very clean and it's clear you have a strong understanding of how ad booking for digital signage should be done.

Do you know how you would integrate with rise vision? One widget that would play either an image or video from scheduled content hosted on your platform? I think it would be important to be able to space our ad content between other content. For example I could schedule your Ad widget 4 times in a playlist and if I only had 2 scheduled ads, the options should be either play each ad twice or skip 2.

If you want to knock it out of the park, you would integrate proof-of-play reporting.

Thanks

Thanks for jumping in and testing it out. We've put a ton of time and energy into building this platform and and this is just the beginning of where we envision taking it.  We come from an advertisement, promotions, and tech background which helped and also began our own signage network... so we've spent a good amount of time directly testing.

So we are currently working with a Rise user who has done a simple integration of our software into the Rise console and is basically able to schedule our content in with his other content. Right now we are able to schedule in groups, but we'd like to get it to where you can schedule ads as individual slots so that you can place content around the ads served from our platform. This is where the app/widget come into play which is why feedback like yours is extremely helpful!

As for the POP (proof-of-play) we are currently building that out as we speak. This will initially track start and end dates, daily play counts, total spend, which screens an ad played on, and the ability for the advertiser to download the information for reconciliation purposes right from their account.

In terms of POP information, do your advertisers require anything beyond this to be provided? We know some advertisers require more than others, but this should satisfy the majority.

If you have any questions or need any help while you are playing around, don't hesitate to ask.

thanks

Thanks... so do you have screens/networks up and running currently? If so, what sort of network is it (bar/restaurant, university, etc.)?

Very Interesting!  Looks clean and easy to use.  One thing about your business model is that the $50 / device is a tad high imo considering NEC's Vukunet is constantly offering their service to me at no cost.  I'm not sure of their percentages but i would be more inclined to go with that solution as it has zero monetary risk.  I would, however be interested in the online GUI and implementing your software for my own ad sales as someone previously mentioned.

Thanks for your feedback... as for our business model, our platform is free. We only make money based on the performance of your network.

With that said, the app we are considering to offer through the Rise app store, we purposely priced at $50 as a one-time only fee per device. We felt this would be a great way to get feedback and garner some further conversation around pricing and features etc from the community. This is not set in stone.

As for the white label solution, based on feedback we've gotten here and outside of Rise, we have decided we will begin working on a solution and will offer it as a feature.

If you'd be interested in testing our product now, as is, or discuss more details shoot us an email at support@snappdigital.com and we can chat some more around your specific needs.

Thanks again!!

We could be interested in something similar to this. We would also be looking for a white-label type system. Being able to schedule the ads around our other content is an absolute must. We have developed custom widgets to deliver proprietary content that we serve to our customers. We've currently written some in-house tools to do the admin job for now, allowing users to drag/drop their content on a visible timeline. It's still under development at current. We would love hierarchical ability to manage advertisements to several groups. As is, we are utilizing sub-companies within Rise Vision for each client site. I would need the ability to add advertisements to these sub-companies. We would be very interested in some POP metrics, we have not started touching on that with our in-house solution. We've also been keeping our eyes open for billing solutions. We've kind of started steering away from selling advertisements though honestly.. it's just not great with our business model. Really our content inside the custom widgets are what our clients need. We would be interested in easy ways to manage advertisements on multiple displays though. May not end up being the perfect fit for our situation, but I'll be keeping an eye on this to see where it evolves.

Hey Wendi,
Thanks for the input. In my response above to Hoppingturtle, we have decided to begin white labeling. We have been discussing this for some time and based on a number of requests, it makes the most sense to head in that direction.

I think based on some of the needs you mentioned, we already have some built or are in the process of building them out. However, we are strictly focused on the ad market at this point and are currently managing ads on multiple displays for other networks with more lined up to join. I'll be sure to keep everyone posted on here as to our progress and especially once we have our white label solution live.

Thanks so much!
