So I went to add my partner to our official RiseVision account and it said duplicate username because he setup his own account to play around in.

How do I add him without removing his other account? I ask because I will have clients that I will need access to their account to create custom presentations, so how will I be able to get access to their accounts without setting up a bunch of additional usernames?

In short...You can't.

The gmail account can only be associated with one company. That being said, if there are sub companies within a company, users in said parent company can access the sub companies.

So, just thinking through this a bit, you could move his company within your company, making his company a sub company of yours, and then remove his username from being associated with the sub company. Then add him as a user under your company. This should then allow him access to both yours and his original company, which is now one of your sub companies. Make sense?

As far as the your clients go, the first option is to do the same as I stated above, where their companies are sub companies of your company. Essentially making your company a "network admin company". This will allow you to access all of them from your gmail account. The downfall is that if you ever want to move a company out from under your network, it can be a little cumbersome.

The second option is to do like you said and make a gmail account for each client's RV company that you can use to access them. I have chosen this option, mainly because I don't want my personal gmail account associated with the client accounts when the new storage billing starts rolling out. I am mainly a designer/integrator that gets the systems up and running, do a little training, and the send them on their way once they have a grasp on things. I also pass the email off to their RV manager to allow them to mange the system themselves and only provide support on an as needed basis.

Yeah, I'm not putting clients under my account. I have no plans on rebranding or providing RiseVision type services to my clients, I provide pre-configured players, design and custom services.

I really hope that this is addressed soon. While I love RiseVision, 'Enterprise' should provide basic user privileges such as this.

RV: Is this in the works?

Hi Will, Kray, this is a feature that we have discussed before but to be honest now that you bring it up I can't find it in our backlog. Let me review with the folks this will impact and get back to you. Thanks!
