Display showing only blank screen

One of our displays is showing only a blank screen today although it was okay when I left work on Friday.

The display shows as "Active" in the display list. The two presentations in it are published. When I preview this display on the schedules page, both presentations play just fine.

What am I missing?

Thanks,

Sam

Hi Sam,

Without more details it's a bit tricky to say exactly what's going on.  A lot of networks do a lot of things over weekends - maintenance, changes, etc.  My first action would be to restart the media player.  Have you tried that yet?

Hi Ray,

Thanks for the quick reply. I did restart the media player. Still nothing displaying.  Our other two displays are working just fine.

What other details can I provide?

Thanks Sam,

If you can reply here with a link to your presentation, I can do a quick check for you to make sure distribution and scheduling are set up correctly

Sorry, I'm not sure how to find the link. The display in question is running two presentations. Here's the Display ID, if that helps: 2PQBAFTP2GMA (Kennedy North Lobby).

Hi Sam,

This may be an issue of the version of the Rise Vision player software you have installed on that media player.  Can you make sure you have the Rise Vision Chrome App player as the player software on that media player?  You can confirm that here: https://help.risevision.com/user/create-a-display?cid=f114ad26-949d-44b4-87e9-8528afc76ce4

Hi Ray,

Here's what's installed on all the displays, including the one that's not displaying.

Isn't it odd that this set up would work on the other displays and not this one?

Hi Sam,

The player you are running is known as the Native Player and doesn't support all things that the Chrome App player supports.  And in fact, can cause the inconsistent results you are seeing.  I don't know this is what's causing the issue, but that jumps out.  Please go ahead and follow the link I provided in the previous reply and update your two players with the Chrome App player and see if you still have the same issue.

Thanks,
