We have one of our Rise Vision displays that quit working after a couple of years.  We have attempted to reinstall both Chrome and the Rise Vision without success.  Chrome is now crashing after the Rise Vision reinstall and the Rise Vision player never starts up.  Any help or assistance would be sincerely appreciated.  We are running Rise Vision on a Window 7 Pro box.  Thank you!

Are you using the Chrome App Player or the packaged player app?

Hi Ryan,

Ensure that CAP and the Rise Windows player are completely deleted.  For the Rise Windows player:

Windows 7:

  1. Press Alt + F4 to close the running browser instance.

  2. Open your Task Manager and close both running instances of java.exe.

  3. Delete the Rise Vision Player link from your Start Up folder in your Start Menu

  4. Navigate to this Folder: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\ and delete the rvplayer folder.

Once these are done, you can try reinstalling the Rise Windows Player.

Also ensure that the Display is on the latest stable version of Chrome.  Go to Chrome and then chrome://help/ for the version details.

Thanks

Hannah
