Disabled Screen Scaling for Intel Computa Stick

Screen scaling In Intel HD Graphics Control Panel is not working. It means that there is no option to scale down the desktop image in full HD rez 1080p to fit in 50+" TV. Strangely the same desktop fits much better (whilst still not ideally) for 42" TV. I'm guessing that it is not a big news for Intel engineers, but the problem should be addressed ASAP as this deficiency compromises the main selling poinjt for the huge "Wintel mini-PC for Lounge Room " market segment

When you say that it doesn't fit, what do you mean? That parts of the desktop are bleeding off the viewable image area on your TV?

Mikhail,
The size of a TV does not matter, resolution does. You can have 23" and 65" displays with the identical FullHD resolution of 1920px X 1080px. I have a feeling your presentation's resolution differs from the display's you are trying to play it on. Also, very often the case with TV sets, you presentation may 'bleed out' because of the overscan (different manufacturers may call it different way) mode turned on. You gonna have to change it or turn it off in your TV settings.

Robert,
It is correct. The desktop size is larger than viewable TV screen and the border areas such as the task bar are invisible.

Darius,
This is not a brand new problem as iit is known from 2011 (just google ."scaling Intel HD Graphics Control". Intel was able to address it with some higher end silicones and latest Surface tablets.
Unfortunately, it is not the case with Stick and this is a pity as otherwise its resources are more tha adequate for a Wintel mini PC with a larger TV. It is fully capable to run seamlessly either Media Centre or browse Internet or any single consumer app. But you can't use the cutdown desktop with the hidden Taskbar and Start button.

Sorry, I am just trying to understand how is this Rise Vision's problem? Some WIntel device is not supported by RV; to my understanding presentation is not even an issue here, you cannot see entire area of device's desktop, is that correct?

Mikhail,

I think when Darius mentioned the issue about "bleed" on the displays he was right on. Have you checked to be sure your display isn''t set to "overscan" or has a feature called "under scan" that can be enabled/disabled? Sometimes the Aspect button on the remote will let you cycle through various options that might give you something that works. What model is the TV?
