Is there a way to disable caching of images?
I understand that most people only want/need cached images, but is there a way to disable the caching of external files (such as images).

I have images that get updated several times per minute from my network management system, that system keep track of my infrastucture, so having 20 minute old information is not OK for me.

As I understand the Rise Vision Player, only to reloads about every 20 minutes or so.
Since I load the images from internal servers, I don't have any issue with the amount of data downloaded.

Andreas,

Instead of using the Image Widget, have you tested using the Web Page Widget to show the images, and setting it to refresh every 1 minute? I think that may accomplish what you need.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi, that helped out a bit. Better to only have a delay for one minute, rather that up to 20 minutes or so. So I guess that this solved it, kind of...

I hope that this could be made customisable in the future so that users could choose their own delay/refresh of downloading images, or even be able to skip caching.

Thanks!

I'm glad to hear that (kind of) fixed the issue for you Andreas! At this time there are no plans to introduce that kind of functionality, but we will be sure to let everyone know if we do introduce it in the future.

Thanks!
