Disable caching? Displays stuck at old data.

I think this is an issue with the more recent versions of riseplayer, or maybe it's something weird I haven't figured out. But the last 6 displays I've deployed all seem to have this issue.

First, all displays are running Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit with the latest risevision player version.

We are displaying real time data collection, and occasionally they get "stuck" on old data. I had three boards that got stuck at the exact same time last night, and these things DO NOT fix the issue:
Reboot of the player
Reboot of the computer
Reinstall of Risevision

The only thing I've found that fixes it is logging into another account, wiping out the profile for the user that logs in for displays, deleting the folder for that user out of C:\Users and then reinstalling riseplayer.

Is there some kind of caching setup? It seems like they just aren't getting the new data, and they're loading cached data from some time period. None of my displays would benefit AT ALL from cached data since every one of them displays real time data, so if I could disable it, that would be ideal.

Thanks!

Hi,
Which type of content do you notice caching? Are these videos or images?
I would recommend seeing if you can embed any content within a website and then linking to it using the Web Page Widget. I've noticed in the account that there a Video Widget is being used and we do store this in RiseCache.

Let me know how you go with the embedded website page idea.

Thanks,
Hannah

The content that is being cached is actually just straight up HTML with some javascripting. The one image on the page actually comes up as a broken link but the data is out of date.

Could you clear out \Users\(yourusername)\AppData\Roaming\installer on Windows to see if that also resolves your issue? We currently have a known issue that requires this to be cleared out and yours may be a case also. Let us know

I'll try this the next time I see this happen and see if it fixes it.

Be sure to let us know how you make out! I am curious if this fixed the issue.

Thanks!
