Recently, we have received a number of questions about storage for digital signage. This guide will show you some of the options available.

Rise Storage
Rise Storage is a media library for Rise Vision and provides unlimited space for a flat fee per month or per year. No variable charges or limitations* as long as you are using Storage for Rise Vision digital signage.

To get started with Rise Storage head over here and start your free trial. Then you can upload your media, HTML files and other digital signage resources.

To learn more about Rise Storage you can check out the FAQ here.

*If your usage appears to be far outside of reasonable norms, we reserve the right to restrict your account.

Alternative Options to Rise Storage
There are a few alternative storage options available which we go over below. However, please add any storage recommendations in the comments.

Use an Existing Web Server
If you have a website, you are likely already paying to host your files on a web server somewhere. Talk with the person at your organization that handles maintaining your website. And, see how you can go about hosting your videos and images on the same server.

3rd Party Hosting Solutions
If you are unable to use an existing file server, another option will be to go with a 3rd party service. We’ve used and had good results with Rackspace and Amazon S3.

Not Recommended: File Sharing Services
Apps like DropBox, Box and Google Drive are examples of file sharing services. These are great for sharing files with colleagues and friends. But, they are not intended to handle repeated requests for the same file. By using them you run the risk of files becoming blocked. We recommend staying away from these types of services for hosting your content assets.

Let us know how you host your files in the comments.
