Last I knew they were using a system called McDMB. It can change the items on the displays and their order based on the local weather.

I haven't seen any McDonald's employees posting questions. If they do I am going to demand some free food :)

Hi Robb;  I've advice Mc Donalds here to use Rise Plateform to perform their Digital Menu Board. I think it's the best and chipest way to do what they want to do ;).
By my side I'm using RiseVision in 11 Restaurants in New-Caledonia without any problem. Just connexion issue in our country... Very Slow. Just one feature is missing in this app : When Rise start Offline, it can't play the content in the cache player. Maybe for the next version ?

Philippe,

There are a lot of updates coming for the Player in the next few months, and we will be sure to notify everyone of them here in the forum. I can't give you a specific timeline when those updates will be coming out, but look for our announcements about them.

Thanks!

Hi all.. I've installed 2 players to manage 6 monitors digital menu board for Mc Donnalds in New Caledonia. Here is the first presentation (3840 X 1080) :
http://preview.risevision.com/?type=p...
Here is the second presentation (7680 X 1080) :
http://preview.risevision.com/?type=p...

I have a little issue on the first one... I have bad internet connexion at the restaurant and the player show black screen during 10 minutes and going back online and show the presentation well. The second player just near this one show his presentation without problem in the same time and the status is green on the RV back office...
What do you advice ?
Cache problem ?
Thank you for you answer.

Phillipe,

Do you see that black screen when the machine starts up? So it is like the Internet is not there, and when it comes back online, it starts showing the Presentation?

Hi Robb,
And thank you for your reply. The machine is always on and no refresh is asking from presentation. .. But you're right when I've checked the online status I saw the Red light.

I have another player on the same Lan and see a green light for him.
I can remotely manage the "fake offline" machine, so internet is working;
I've restart the player and a White screen arrive with the message "No Internet connexion". How RV Player contact the RV Server ? By IP adress or name adress like "risevision.com" ? If it's the second way i will verify the DNS settings of the machine.

If Not what do you advice ? uninstall and re install RV player ?

And last little question: Instead of the black screen or Error internet connexion message, is there any way to show one picture from local hdd ?

All the best.

Philippe

Philippe,

We check using the DNS name, and you can see all the sites that need to be allowed through your firewall or network security on this page, in the "What if I have a Firewall / Proxy?" section: https://help.risevision.com/user/create-a-display

At this time there is no way to show a local image when the internet is not available, but we will be sure to let everyone know if we introduce this functionality.

Let me know how you make out!

Scott, Philippe,

I forked this into an idea post that you can reference at the link below. Be sure to vote for it if you want to see that kind of functionality in Rise Vision!

Please reference the new conversation here: Use a Local Image instead of an "No Internet Connection" message
