Alberto,

You could host the Widget and Settings file somewhere, for example Amazon, and then add them to your Presentation as a custom Widget using the "Add Widget by URL option:

I hope that helps!

Alberto,

Another thing you can do is contribute this translation to this repository: https://github.com/Rise-Vision/common-i18n.

That way you don't need to host the Widget yourself.

Thanks!

Alberto,

The Widget will try to determine the browser's locale to know which translations to populate the widget settings with, are the Widget settings not showing correctly?

Is it possible that information is being blocked by a browser plugin?

Ok, i post 2 screen:

As you can see here is in English

Here instead i set up Rome as hour, but there's not any "language menu"

In the browser there's no plugin blocking information.

Do you have the Browser set up to block your location? This setting can be found in Google Chrome's Advanced Settings:

Yeah, ofc I tried as first way to set no-blocks, I also tried different browsers, on different pc.. Same result.. Actually I think it would be better adding a language field in the widget's settings.

Going by location automatically is also not ideal. I might need English in Korea for example. And how do you even decide which language to assign automatically in Quebec )))

Hey guys,

Let me see if I can recreate this behaviour. I'll let you know what I can determine. And Darius I agree as well, good point :)

Thanks!

Alberto,

My apologies, I see that we have an it repo for Italian languages, however there is no Italian translation for this specific Widget. You can see all the Italian translations we have for other Widgets here: https://github.com/Rise-Vision/common-i18n/tree/master/src/locales/it

Here is an example of the English translation PO file for the Time and Date Widget: https://github.com/Rise-Vision/common-i18n/blob/master/src/locales/en/widget-time-date.po

If you can create that similar translation for Italian, and upload it to the appropriate repo, that should solve your issue.

I hope that helps!

Hi,

I think there may be a misunderstanding here. I suspect that the question (In any case, mine) is what is shown on the screens, and not the language in the widget (or?). For example, in Sweden we use a different date formatting and of course a different spelling for days and months.

Sunday, March 3, 2016 (Sun Mar 3, 2016) will in Swedish look like this
Söndag 3 mars 2016 (Sön 3 mar 2016)

It appears right (as above) with Swedish formatting in my own Google calendar but not in the presentation of the screens that are created in the Time and Date widget (and Google Calendar widget).

Best regards
Janne

Janne, you problem is really easy to solve with custom HTML. It is a matter of few lines of code (apparently RV finds it really difficult to add to the existing code). If you do not mind doing that I can toss you the code for you to edit.

Janne and all who know their way around basic HTML get >>these<< files.

The package has both 12 and 24 time format date/time files.
Files have linked Google font Roboto, but it is OK to change it to whatever you want.

These are English files, but you can easily rename day and month names to whatever you want.

You can easily (be attentive) mix/remove the time/date components and make it look the way you want.

Do not hesitate to ask if you have questions.

Thanks for the help Darius, perfect to add date and time in Swedish in my presentations. The code was easy to understand and even I managed to make adjustments :-)
I've added a new forum post that is referring to the same problem, but for Google Calendar widget https://community.risevision.com/rise_vision_inc/topics/language-localization-translation-google-cal...
