The rise vision application on my raspberry pi will crash after coming to the initial grey loading screen then exit the application. Please help, I have looked at previous responses and they haven't seemed to fix the problem.

Hi there. What model of Raspberry Pi are you using? Could you please provide a link to Preview the Schedule that is assigned to this Display?

Could you also tell me the Operating System that you are running on the Raspberry Pi? Thanks!

It looks like a few of your Displays, probably the Displays that are crashing, are running an older version of the Rise Player software.

We recommend that you update manually by downloading the newest installer from this link, and reinstalling from this file. If, after you reinstall you are still having problems, please let us know. If you could also answer the above questions, that will help our troubleshooting effort.

Thanks!

One other option. While the Player Version in use by your Displays is older, they are capable of auto upgrading as we release updates.

We will be starting a new release next week. So instead of manually updating you could wait for your Displays to auto upgrade. But this begs the question, why haven't they already upgraded? Could be a few reasons, the most common reason we see is the network blocking one of the required URL's. Assuming your Displays are powered on and showing as online, there shouldn't be a problem. If you find your Displays have not auto updated by the end of next week, we could work with you to figure out is wrong.

Oh, you can confirm the latest version of Rise Player at http://install-versions.risevision.com/latest-version. Our versioning is rather simple. It is the date of release.

Thanks! Let us know how you make out and have a great weekend.
