Could not listen on port 9449 error on windows with Application Monitor start up.

Using the windows optimization settings I am getting an error every 30 seconds with "Could not listen on port 9449. A player or other application may already be using that port". A black slide appears in the stack and gives that error. It is as though Application Monitor never sees Chrome running and tries to open a new one over and over. The logs seem to bear this out as it is "NOT running", "Started" over and over again.

Official Response

We would like to update this topic with some new official information. It appears that in some situations, Application Monitor is launching multiple instances of Rise Player, causing errors.

If you are seeing a 9449 error on Rise Player, we suggest that you uninstall Application Monitor and add the Rise Player Chrome Application to your startup menu. If this does not solve your problem, we would be very interested in getting some more information on your particular situation. Please respond to this topic if that is the case.
