Converting to new presentation format

I'm working on moving my presentations over to the new format but there is a bit of a snag. My old presentation was made of 4 parts.
  1. Image at top
  2. Weather on left
  3. RSS Feed at bottom
  4. Presentations/Images in the middle
This allowed the RSS feed to continue without resetting while showing multiple different items. With the removal of the presentation item/widget I was wondering if there was a way that I could have the RSS feed not reset.

I have experience with web development but the end-user that will be doing the weekly changes to the presentation is not. I am hoping for a GUI solution for this problem, not a coding one.

BayBrook,

If I understand you correctly, you are saying that the Presentation Items in the middle could be updated by the end user, but this would not affect the RSS Feed running at the bottom, is that correct? Any they will be updating that Presentation in the middle on a weekly basis?

Yes. The presentation in the middle is updated weekly by the end user. The RSS feed would continue without interruption while the presentations in the middle would cycle.

In the previous format I just had them all set up as separate presentations that the end user would change. I don't see a "Presentation Widget" to do something like this.

That's correct, in the new Presentation Editor, we do not have the ability for embedded Presentations.

At this time, if you need that functionality, I think you will have to continue using the Classic Editor at http://rva.risevision.com.

Once we have an option for use cases such as this one in the new Editor, we will share that with the Community.

Thanks!

BayBrook,

I am trying to understand why 'reseting' RSS feed is a problem? Is not it a limited number of articles that just loop in a sequence?
