Content not fitting inside placeholder constraints

I have a large placeholder on the left side of the page.  The content I have assigned to the placeholder - Announcements - is not displaying all of the content within the placeholder constraints.  Looks like it is lopping off 5-10 characters on the right side of the placeholder window.

I am using the old spreadsheet gadget.  This has been working just fine.

Here is the URL - http://rva.risevision.com/#/PRESENTATION_MANAGE/id=5dd76e2c-24f5-45d1-a390-e047e1bc22b6?cid=3a070c9c...

Also, tried to add time in the upper right corner of the screen and nothing is displaying.

Thanks for the assist.

Dick,

Can you try the new Google Spreadsheet widget?

Also, I would double-check your time placeholder, it should work fine if placed properly.

I tried the new spreadsheet but it lacks the versatility of the original spreadsheet.  Please go to the URL i provided in my initial message to see what is happening to the left side placeholder.

As far as the time goes, this seems to have fixed itself.

One other issue - some of the screens I have are displaying full content while others show just the background graphic.  Any ideas why this would be happening.  I had everything working this morning except for the left window issue, and now I have this new issue.  They show as working on the display page but nothing but the background graphic show up.

Thank you for your help.

Dick, unfortunately if the gadget you are using cannot be added from the Store then we are not able to support it (ie the old Google spreadsheet widget) and it will be deprecated at some point.  I am however interested in whether you see the same behaviour in the new Google Spreadsheet widget so if you try that and see the same thing please let me know.

I did take a quick look at your presentation and noticed that you had no widget added to the PH where the time looked like it was supposed to be, and you had another PH that was far off to the right of the presentation so that was why it wasn't showing up then.

The issue you describe with some screens displaying some content and others not is extremely broad and could be many, many things.  Have you double checked absolutely everything, ie whether you have some content assigned to only certain displays, using a time schedule, rebooting/refreshing to see if the content will come in after a refresh?  I would start there so you can determine the type of issue (sporadic which could be network), or static (which means generally configuration/set-up or something related to the items).

Alex -

The old spreadsheet allowed me to use different colors, then when I refreshed the screens, the colors I chose in that spreadsheet displayed in that color.  The new spreadsheet gadget allows only two colors - one for the header and one for the detail.  There is no way to differentiate when a new subject might come up, and this particular feature is useful if you have several lines or, let's say, announcements that you wish to distinguish one from the other. This happy accident must have been one of the fortunate bugs in the old spreadsheet, unintentional, but very useful.  Even you guys didn't know this worked this way. The new spreadsheet leaves much to be desired when dealing with what I described.

For some reason my screens are back again.  The only issue I have remains with the content going back the defined boundaries of the placeholder.  Thought it might be a font issue, but that's not the case.  I may redo the content and see if that helps.

Thank you for looking into these issues.  I appreciate it ver much.

Dick, I do understand about preferring the old gadget although it may be removed down the road so just a word of caution.  If you decide to redo your content I would start out with something simple, maybe a couple of lines of text that wraps, from a new spreadsheet, and if results are good, go from there.  That way you may find what is necessary to workaround the text that is being cut-off, if it is due to one particular thing.
