I have a number of presentations that will only open with the classic editor. Should I upgrade these? If so, how?

Also, I have gadgets on my older presentations that still work fine but I am unable to add them to a new presentation. I had the Rise Vision Weather gadget and clock. Are these able to be added still?

HI there!

The Rise Vision Weather Gadget has been deprecated, since it is a Gadget, and not a Widget. This Community discussion goes over how Gadgets don't work in our new Editor (https://apps.risevision.com), but they do in the older "Classic" Editor (http://rva.risevision.com).

As stated in that conversation, you can continue using the older Editor for your Gadgets, but I would strongly suggest moving to the new Editor if possible.

For the Clock, you can use the Time and Date Widget in the new Editor. For Weather, you can use any of our premium weather Widgets, or if you prefer to remain on the free route, check out some of the awesome posts in this discussion about Free Weather sources.

Thanks!

Robb,

If I change out all of my gadgets to the appropriate widget will the new editor automatically recognize the changes and allow me to use it?

Josh,

That is 100% correct! When you open a Presentation in the new Editor, it will check to see if there is any deprecated items in the Presentation, and as long as there are none, you can edit to your heart's content in the new Editor!
