Anyone know how to set the video output to duplicate or display only on HDMI output when a Chromebook is configured for kiosk mode? Also how to set it to not enter sleep mode when the lid is closed? Chromebook is enrolled and configured via Google Admin Console.

RiseVision Chromebook App works wonderfully in kiosk mode, just need to set above two options and then I have a $200 media player.

Jake,

When I was testing on my Chrome Pixel, if I opened the lid after closing it, it would come on and be playing the Presentation. It would usually restart the Presentation a few moments after I opened it, likely due to the screen coming back on.

Are you sure that you have the Power Management settings set to Do not allow device to sleep/shut down when idle on the sign in screen. That's the only reference to power management on the Devices page that I am aware of.

Let me know if that makes a difference for you.

Thanks.

It's also sometimes necessary to install an Chrome extension: Keep Awake so the Chromebook never goes to sleep even if your presentation becomes inactive due to internet inactivity.

Anton,

When the player is booting you will need to press control+alt+s to boot into the main OS before kiosk mode starts.

Ive installed rise player in kiosk mode, so when i get to login screen, i can choose to start rise player from a menu down left on the screen. But how will i be able to start two apps in kiosk mode at the same time (rise player, keep awake)?

As I understand it, its not possible to install keep awake as a kiosk mode app? How am I able to prevent my chromebox from going to sleep when tv is turned off?

Anton,

You may check with Google/Asus on this question. It is outside of the realm of support for Rise Vision.
