Every once in awhile, I keep getting a message popping up over RiseVision saying that I can 'search from here with Google'

How can I stop this? It's only happening on one display, but this is the 5th time in the last month.

There is no keyboard or mouse connected and it's on WiFi if that matters.

What operating system is this on?  Can you also let us know what Player it is (Chrome App, or native)

I haven't encountered this for quite a while myself (maybe over a year now).

Thanks.

Hey Neal,
It's on the Pi.

Player Version: RisePlayer 2.0.036.rsp.1

Hello,

I am also getting this message on random displays using Raspberry Pi and the newest version of the player.

I tried resetting the Pi I have here and wasn't able to replicate this message appearing.

Can you try clearing out the rvplayer folder from the /.config folders (one for the user, one for root), as well as the rvplayer folder within the /root/.cache folder to see if that corrects it for you?

Thanks.

I cannot replicate the issue either. It's very random.

Today, it was not there when I walked across the hall, but was there 2 mins later when I came back. This is the first time in weeks, but the last times, it happened twice within a few hours and then a few days later. Aside from restarting the player, I made no other changes.

I will clear those out, but who knows how long it will take to reproduce.

Cleared everything out this morning, so I will see how it goes and keep you posted if it appears again.

Right before I left last night the message popped up again though!

Patrick,
I have not. Would this effect anything when RiseVision does it's auto-update?

Can't have a band-aid fix that breaks when other software is updated. Not a programmer, so not sure the overall effect of such a file.

Just as a note, I was just told that this message popped up again on Monday. Clearing out those folders does not seem to have fixed the issue.

Hesitant to try the fix Patrick mentioned before finding out how that will effect updates to RV as well as the OS.
