Changing Display Resolution

I changed the resolution on one of my displays from 1280x1024 to 1920x1080. I made the change by copying the presentation 1280x1024 presentation, renaming it and setting the resolution to 1920x1080. Then when I added the new 1920x1080 presentation to the schedule (deleting the the 1280x1024), the fit was all wrong on the display. What do I need to do? Or does a setting need to be changed on the PC? See the photo below.

Hi Yvonne,

Presentations don't automatically scale to the size of the screen. If the Presentation was originally 1280x1024, then every element in that Presentation would need to be adjusted to accommodate the new value. Also, just to be on the safe side, the Presentation should be Published for the change to be seen on the Display.

Please let us know how you make out.

Thanks.

I was trying to do a shortcut. Oh well. OK, resized the background image to fit the placeholder (same size as placeholder, 1920x1280, but the image seems to be too big for some reason. Never had this happen before. Can you tell me what minor detail I am overlooking?

HI Yvonne,

I glanced in your account and 2 observations:
-if you are looking to show the "New Presentation" that is at 1920x1080 you should make sure and take it from revised to published.

-your schedule for Castleberry High still shows the old design at 1280x1024 so you should make sure and update your schedule.

If it is still cut off I would double check your computer graphics card settings and also on your monitor you can toggle the overscan settings if it is bleeding over.

Yes, I understand I have to publish the presentation first. I am still working on it, right now, so haven't published it. The old design will stay in place until I complete this one. I'll check my computer settings. But when I zoomed out, it seemed the bottom/side of the image was cut off.

I'll get back with you.

Thanks.

Happy to hear you were able to correct the issue.
Hi all,
I know this is an old thread but I figured I'd add my problem to it b/c it is very similar.  I have one presentation running on two displays.  Both were working fine and were coming up on both screens just fine.  Then one day I walked in to find that the resolution of one of the tv's somehow automatically switched.  The presentation was designed for 1650 x 1050 and the tv display matched that.  Now, the display resolution somehow changed to 1916 x 1076 so my presentation does not fill the screen.  How can I make the tv resolution go back to the original 1650 x 1050?

Thanks,

Good morning!

Could you tell me which version of the player you are running? Is it the Rise Player Chrome Extension, or the Native Player?

I'm having the same issue.  I am using the native player on the output computer.  Mine changed from 1280x1024 to the 1916x1076 all by itself.
Rise Player Chrome Extension.
