Can't select folder in Image Folder Widget

I noticed that you guys are now offering a widget for a folder of Images YAY (Now I don't have to redo 70 images in one presentation image by image again!). However, it's not working.

It tells you to select a folder, but once you navigate to the folder there is no way to select it as the source. I tried selecting an image and then deleting the file name, but Save was greyed out.

How do I select the folder?

Glen,

Glad you're excited for the image folder widget. We like it a lot!

To select a folder, simply click the checkbox next to the folder, a "Select" button will now appear on the action bar at the top of the storage modal.

There we go! Thanks Blake.

I'm going to add an 'Idea' to the list for this.

So I got the Widget up and running, and it works OK in the Preview, but it doesn't display at all on the machine. It's running on a Raspberry Pi

Glen,

These new widgets are built on web components, which are not supported by all browsers and browser versions. This is the reason that, going forward, we are pushing the Chrome App Player in place of the Native player.

We have been able to run tests using Ubuntu on our in house Pi2 players, Chrome App Player does a great job!

That doesn't help anything when I have half a dozen original Pi units around.

Does the Chrome App Player automatically restart on crash? What about screen rotation?

Can you please add a note on that widget that it does not work with the Pi so nobody else thinks this will work and remove 70 images and have to re-add them one by one.
