Can't add content to placeholder

Hi - I am trying to get RiseVision up and running here at my school and trying to use the new editor.  I cannot seem to add some content to my placeholders.  For example, I have tried to add both the text scroller and the clock to two different placeholders, and once I click the green "Add" button to add the content to my placeholder, nothing happens and the content is not added to my playlist.  I have only been able to add the image widget to a placeholder, that's all.  Any ideas?  I have tried this in both Chrome and Firefox.

Hi Tye,

Sorry for the confusion there. Both the Clock and Text Scroller are Gadgets which do not work in the new editor they only work in the old editor. Only Widgets work in the new editor, but everything works in the old editor.

Thanks,
Shea

Ah, OK - thanks Shea.  So does that mean we don't have a Text Scroller anymore with the new editor?  Since I am just starting out, I would prefer to not use the old editor to create any presentations.  What should I do in the interim?

Hi Tye,

As of right now there is no Text Scroller for the new editor. In the interim could you please take a look at this article: https://community.risevision.com/rise_vision_inc/topics/scrolling-content-for-your-presentations

Thanks,
Shea

Thanks Shea!  Very cool options there.  One thing I am looking to do is have some of our scrolling information feed from a Google Doc or Google Sheet, so that our end user who is responsible for maintaining the scroll would have a simple, easy-to-use method.  Do you know of anything like that?
