Calendars stopped displaying again

Since Friday, our Calendars have stopped displaying on two displays.

I have the same Calendar on 3 displays and it's showing on 1 only. I have republished the other two displays a couple times, restarted both machines and the calendars are not coming back.

Any ideas?

Hi Glen,

This may be because of the version of Rise Vision player software you have installed on the media players.  Please make sure the displays are running the Rise Vision Chrome App player.  Here is how you do that:  https://help.risevision.com/user/create-a-display?cid=f114ad26-949d-44b4-87e9-8528afc76ce4

Ray, I have already replaced the RV Player on all our machines with the Chrome App.

Can you share the link to the presentation here so I can take a quick look?

Ray, here is the presentation ID. As of this morning, weather is not showing up either (Even in the preview)

I am having the same issue with the original rise weather app.

Hi Glen,

We have had the deprecated weather widget playing all day here without any issues, so there doesn't appear to be any issue with the widget.

Regarding the calendar.  After checking this further, the way your calendar is set up, you should not be seeing anything displaying.  Your calendar shows events for today only - and you selected not to show any events in the past.  You have no events for today that are not in the past and so having nothing showing on the calendar is the expected result.  So it appears that the one display that is showing the calendar is actually the one that needs to be investigated.  Can you tell me what media player and OS is running that display?

Ray,
Thanks, that was indeed the issue. And the weather is back today as well. I thought they were somehow related.

The other display didn't have the option checked to hide past events.

It would be great if you guys could add a message saying "No more events today" or something like that when something like this happens so it's not just displaying blank.

Glen,

That's a wonderful idea! Can you log that at our Calendar Widget repository? You can label it as an "enhancement". This will get it on the docket for review.

Thanks!
