Maybe it already exists, but it would be great if you could "share" the bulletin out of your Google drive just like any other document and the customer could make changes from there. We tried this, but the customer just get the XML info. Any way to make this happen?

Tony,

You can share the Bulletin file itself in Google Drive by following the same share options for Docs, Spreadsheets, Forms, etc, that you store at Google Drive, however they will have to open them in the Bulletin Editor. They can't be edited directly from Google Drive.

You can read more about the process here. Let me know if that helps!

Robb,

Where did that "the process here" link go?

Hi Dave, we have removed older Help files that may no longer be 100% accurate.  Are you trying to use the Bulletin gadget?

I am using the bulletin available in the market. It is working pretty well except; when trying to share the bulletins from google drive, it sometimes yields unpredictable results. We have noted that opening a shared bulletin usually creates a "bulletins" folder on the root recipient's drive. Recently in our test accounts, this is not happening.

Could possibly be related to the sharing of multiple files in one go?

Is there any source code or documentation for the bulletin editor itself? Are there any observations anyone has made regarding using another drive/docs app like HTML Edity or any other online HTML editors?

Hi Dave, I have not experienced the issue you are seeing, but the source code is available here if you would like to take a look, https://github.com/Rise-Vision/widget-bulletin

As for using other HTML Editors - absolutely! I don't have a specific recommendation for you, but there are a ton out there that could be a good alternative for you. Let us know if you find one that works for you.

Thanks!

Bulletin not working.

I was trying to find a way to share a bulletin though my Google drive. I opened it in drive and found a way to get to the edit screen. However, when I closed it the bulletin stopped showing in my presentation....only the background. The bulletin still has the words on the it...but after simply opening it in my Drive it doesn't show those words on the screen anymore. I resaved, restarted the player...but nothing will make the words show up even though the bulletin is in the playlist and it has content on it and has been saved. I have to present this to a customer today.
