Bulletin not displaying contents and then being skipped?

I have created a Bulletin as one of three gadgets in a placeholder, but it displays nothing but a black area the first time around, and then seems to skip over the bulletin on subsequent cycles. What is wrong here?

I've not seen a Bulletin being skipped before.

Can you share your Presentation with us so we can take a look. You can use the Preview URL from your Presentation and share it here, or email it to us at support@risevision.com

Thanks.

When I look at your Presentation, I don't see a Bulletin assigned in the Widget. If you open the Widget properties, you'll note that you can choose Select, New, or Help. When a Bulletin has been assigned, you'll also have an Edit option.

Thanks.

G'day,
Sorry for the delay. I had shared the wrong copy of the presentation, so not having a Bulletin assigned was not the problem as far as I could see. I worked around it for a while, but would like to get it working, so I will send you an email with the new URL.
Regards,
Malcolm

Malcolm,

Can you share the Bulletin you are having issues with, with robbekprice@gmail.com? This is one of my testing accounts that I use, and I would like to see if I can place the Bulletin into a Presentation.

Information about sharing Bulletins can be found here.

Thanks!

Malcolm,

When I tried your Bulletin, I noticed the same thing in where it wouldn't play.  I then made a replica of your Bulletin and added that to a Presentation and saw it play fine.  The only differences I could find was that the colors I used were Hex, and the ones you had specified were in RGB.  Could you try updating the colors used to be Hex to see if that corrects what you're seeing? The red that you used would be #b22222

Thanks.

Hi Neal,
Sorry for the delay, I was away.
When you are referring to the colours being in Hex or RGB, do you mean in the bulletin?
I have change/entered the text colour, and checked the value in the HMTL version of the bulletin, but I have the same result.
I also tried to use the same bulletin in a new presentation and a new bulletin with a test message in a different colour in the new presentation. All with the same result, the bulletin doesn't show and is then skipped from the playlist of widgets.

Regards,
Malcolm

Correct, the color of the highlight and font color.

Are you able to do a Bulletin without any colors on a Display, or are they skipped as well?

Thanks.

Hi Neal,
It is not the font, I have tried different bulletins and some with just plain text with no colours with the same effect. It is blank for the first cycle through the playlist and then it just skips it on the following cycles.

I am thinking it is something to do with the account?

Malcolm

Fix it! I deleted the bulletin folder in Google Drive and deleted the existing widget. Then I started again and this time the Bulletin works as you would expect.
I think it might have got mixed up with another Google drive account when I hadn't signed out properly, and though it displayed the correct Bulletin folder, something wasn't quite right with how RiseVision was working with the Google Drive Bulletin folder.

Thanks for your help.

Good to hear you managed to get it corrected.
