Black screen, Players in two locations not plating at all.

Another problem yet again this week. After coming back from the weekend away from the message boards, the players in both my locations are not running at all. They are displaying black screens. Thoughts?

I'm going to need some more information here. Can you tell me if you're running Native or Chrome App Player? What OS are you running?

Do you have a scheduled reboot set up for your media player?
I have a scheduled reboot at 3am on both players. It is running Linx ubuntu 12.10.... and is running chromium. All of this was set up by Rise vision when it was sent to us and IT is having a terrible time trying to up grade it at all.
Unsupported system. Chrome will not load. I can't even update. What do I need to do.

I would recommend downloading Ubuntu 14.04 (Make sure you get 32bit) and installing this on the system. You can then follow the documentation here to set up the display.

I appreciate your help on this, however, the OS system we have installed seems to be no longer supported by Rise which I find to be unacceptable. If a customer purchases a pre-configured box from Rise, all OS updates should be automatic and supported by your company. Installing 14.04 and a newer chrome player crashes the system. I am going to contact my rep. This is unacceptable as I have had these less than a year.
