Best way to do powerpoint?

Currently we have someone who is making a powerpoint and converting it to flash for our Ryarc players. We were looking at RV as a replacement, but we can't seem to find a good solution for powerpoint. I've tried exporting the slides as images, and uploading them to RV storage but whenever I add the images as a placeholder I have to manually change the properties of the images to match the resolution of the display as well as changing the resolution of the presentation. Is there a better way to go about doing this?

When you upload these images to Rise Storage and add them via the Image Widget, are you selecting the "Scale to Fit" option in the Widget settings? That will scale the image to best fit the Placeholder that you are placing it into. That way there should be no need to adjust the images, unless you want an exact match to the Placeholder resolution.

Other than that, I would agree with Felix, and converting to MP4, or more preferably WebM, would be your best bet.

Felix, can you clarify what you mean by "glitchy"? I wonder if converting to WebM would be better than that MP4.

I make a PowerPoint slide show, even if it is for one slide, so I can set duration & transitions animations etc, Save As (or export to) video within PPT, then convert to WebM using Miro Video Converter, & use the Video Widget and the "Scale to Fit" option is available.
