Just started using Rise player on two Raspberry Pis at my place of work. We are running slides with information and images. When designing the slideshow within the placeholder, I cannot preview the images without dragging each of them to the top of the slideshow. Is there a better way to design these slideshows? And when it comes time to retire a slide, how should I go about deleting the particular slide without going through the guessing game?

EDIT: We are using our own website's storage, not the Rise storage (yet).

The right thing is to plan all ahead of the time. Draw the design first, get all the dimensions ready before you even open RV Editor. So you, for example, decide that your design is gonna have 600X800 px slideshow. You prepare you slides for that size, name them properly. Open editor and create a placeholder the same size as your slides. Drag you slides into it and name each item to match the name of slides - no guessing game here, no need to preview every slide because you already got them production-ready. When all is in place, hit the preview button and make sure all is in order as you planned.

RV Storage is not needed for images/slides. Any other reliable web hosting would do just fine. RV Storage is till recommended because some RV Widgets do require it, and it is inexpensive.

I guess what I'm saying is that each week I have to trade out individual slides for others. There are consistently about 30 different image widgets in the place holder. However, these do not list file names on the widget. They just say "image widget." As it stands now, I have to try and guess which is which.

Yes, default name is 'image widget,' but you can change it manually. Also, instead of using Image Widget for each image separatelly, you can use Image Folder Widget. Unfortunately, it does require RV Storage to work.

Ah, perfect. Naming them individually will work. Thanks!
