Bad scrolling Google Calendar Rasp Pi

Just setup a new Raspberry Pi with RiseVision to replace an Asus eeePC (dual core Intel Atom) running a 50" TV.  I hoped it would be neater and scroll the Google Calendar smoothly like it does in the browser.  However the scrolling of the calendar in the widget is so bad as to be unusable.  It moves in big jumps every 20 seconds or so.  The eeePC does an OK job but it's a bit lumpy on the scrolling.

Should I give up on the Raspberry Pi and use it for something else?  I would be sad if I had to, as it's a cool wee device.

Craig,

Sorry to hear of your issue with Pi. Unfortunately while they are a cool device, they lack some horsepower. While we have has some success running scrolling spreadsheets locally, it's likely that yours may be too intensive to run smoothly at the resolution that you have selected.
