I need to push our School District's public channel stream to some admin buildings. Right now the presentation just sits at the play button. I have tried embedding autoplay into the html but I have no html experience at all.  Is this even possible?  Thanks for any help!

This is what I see right now in html.

Hi Matt
Are you able to convert the SWF to a video file format and from there you should be able to use the Video Widget or embed via HTML (ie using the <video> tag). Let me know!

Thanks

Hannah

I can't convert it. The goal is to project the live stream of the school district's public channel which has content that is changing constantly. the channel is hosted by a separate entity so I don't even have access to the files anyways.

This is the stream.

Thanks for your help

Matt,

Unfortunately I am not aware of a way to set that stream to autoplay. Hopefully someone else in the community will be able to lend a hand.

Let us know if you come up with a solution!

Hi Matt,
Are you able to ask the content creator of the livestream to have it auto play? When I click on the link, it doesn't autoplay but I imagine that if you can get the source link to autoplay it may also do the same within the HTML Widget...

I would start by contacting the people who produce the stream - from the URL I'm guessing that they're using a Leightronix/VieBit service, so they will have access to documentation on the live_player.swf.  If you're lucky they may be able to provide you with a URL for the stream that includes an additional parameter to enable auto play.

You can try this code:
_________________________________________________________________________________________
<object width="600" height="409">

<param name="movie" value="http://fpdownload.adobe.com/strobe/FlashMediaPlayback.swf"></param>
<param name="flashvars" value="src=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.domain.com%2Fvideo%2Ftest%2F<?php echo $video;?>"></param>
<param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param>
<param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param>
<param name="autoPlay" value="true"></param>

<embed src="http://fpdownload.adobe.com/strobe/FlashMediaPlayback.swf"
       type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" autoPlay="true"
       width="600" height="409" flashvars="src=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.domain.com%2Fvideo%2Ftest%2F<?php echo $video;?>">
</embed>

</object>

_________________________________________________________________________________

Just replace the para name and embed src url with the url location of the flash file.
