Auto scrolling in an Iframe

I'm trying to use our display to show results from a run/walk event we are hosting this weekend.

I have most everything set up to show results from a site (more specifically - something like this example)

http://www.webscorer.com/racedetails?raceid=50977&gender=F

This works great - updates and goes smoothly - until I realize that one the results get to the end of the iframe window, no one will see any further changes!

I tried to use the interactive and resort based on the last runner at the top of the list, but this setting gets reset on refresh between placeholder changes.

I know there is no setting in the widget - but is there a relatively simple way in code to make the webpage in the iframe scroll slowly to the bottom of the page?

Biologyben,

What if you set up google spreadsheet with one of the autoscrolling options like in these examples:

wait on the 2nd one a bit to see the change

Hi Ben,

Alan's suggestion using IMPORTHTML in the spreadsheet paired with this might be able to auto update everything. http://igoogledrive.blogspot.in/2012/09/google-spreadsheet-importhtml-auto-update-or-refresh.html

Let us know if you try it out.

Thanks,
Shea

This is perfect - Unfortunately, Shea is correct.

Biologyben,

To confirm, you were able to find a resolution to your question? I'm a bit lost on that last comment.

Let me know if we can further assist! Thanks.

Sorry - that comment was about the script in the iframe.

ImportHTML works well!  I updated the preview to demonstrate how it's pulling info.  Unfortunately, the table is generated dynamically on the website, so gender/category divisions don't work, but this will do for this year.

Thanks for your help!

I did a google sheet sample with the results as well - scrolls etc... just imported the final data.
