I plan to use Asus Chromebox to make a touch kiosk. I tried the mini pc (windows) and it was fine because I can install the drivers for the touch. I am wondering if you can use the Asus Chromebox to make the screen interactive or touch capable presentation using Rise.

You can certainly use the Chromebox for an interactive Presentation in Rise Vision.

Thanks.

I tried it with my samsung display with touch overlay and it did not work. The touch overlay should have a connection to the usb of the computer. It works in the computer (pc) I will try to plug the cable of the overlay to the Asus Chromebox's usb. I was just wondering how will the drivers be installed if connected to the chromebox.

When I previously tried the touch screen (Dell ST2022T) here, it just worked, Its possible that there are only so many drivers available for Chromeboxes.

I have this samsung overlay:
http://www.samsung.com/us/business/displays/digital-signage-accessories/CY-TM55LBC/ZA and it has a usb cable to be plugged into a computer. I will try later to plug it in the chromebox.

Did you have any luck getting this Samsung touch overlay to work with ChromeOS?

Andrew,

We have done limited testing in house with the Samsung Overlay and Asus Chromebox. As far as we have tested, the overlay is very responsive and works as intended.
