Are Chromium and portable-apps supported by Rise client?

Hello,
I want to check the Rise client on Windows 8 to be tested in China where Chromebox is hard to get. The issue is that our Corporate rules are very strong on Chrome policy disallowing almost all Chrome extensions using GPO's. The process to get Rise allowed will take time.
The workaround would be to use Chromium or a portable Chrome Apss.
However, there are a few differences between the 'official' Chrome release and those distributions.

Can you tell if Rise is supported on such distribution? If not supported, does it work anyway? are there some know issues.

Thanks.

PS. THe 2nd workaround will be to hack the Windows registry to override the right Chrome setting set by the GPO (Blacklist) but this is set back to GPO default after each reboot.

Hi Thierry,

We don't currently support Chromium or do any testing on it, so I would be unable to give you an answer or suggestion as to it's use. You should run a test case and let us know your results!
