Anyone know if a Google Chromebook is in Kiosk mode, does the browser run in incognito mode? i.e. does it accept cookies?

Hi Tony,

A chromeOS device in kiosk modeshouldaccept cookies as long as third party cookies are not blocked on chrome.

Curiosity is getting the best of me here, what brings you to this question?

I'm using a HP Chromebook Unmanaged

The Kiosk App is : https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/kiosk/afhcomalholahplbjhnmahkoekoijban?hl=en

Everything works PERFECTLY except it won't remember login name and passwords for a dashboarding tool we are using: Klipfolio (even if I click on "Remember me") (https://app.klipfolio.com/login?url=%2Fdashboard)

Does the app need to declare "Cookies" under permissions? As I don't see it in the manifest.json
https://github.com/zebradog/kiosk/blob/master/src/manifest.json

https://developer.chrome.com/extensions/permissions

Thanks!

Tony,

You would have to ask the publisher of that kiosk app if they support cookies or not.

Hello Tony, did you manage to find a solution to this?
im having the same problem actually, that we try to present a Klipfolio board within RiseVision.
Curious if you got it working! :)

The issue with Kiosk mode is that it loads in incognito mode, so it won't work with Klipolio as it requires login.
