I've been looking at a few devices to get this to work. So far it seems like the Intel NUC D54250WYK is the closest thing that I can find that has 4k support. But I'm unsure how well this works with RiseVision and html5 video. Can anyone with experience with this chime in?

Christopher,

We do have a front end developer that has been working with 4k presentations and displays. I will have a chat with him tomorrow morning and get back to you on this.

Thanks!
Blake

Christopher,

One of our front end developers is currently testing 4k using an Asus Chromebox. It does support 4k, and pushes nice content. He did recommend that you look for the 4GB ram model instead of the 2GB model.

Any chance someone can post the model number for the 4GB ChromeBox that is working with 4k?  The Amazon descriptions look rather sketchy and the Asus website could be better....

Hi Blake, has it had any problems with 4K video or are only presentations/slideshows working?

Regards,
Chris

Chris,

I'm in the process of getting a sample .webm in 4k resolution. I should be able to get it up and running and confirm how it appears soon.

Chris,

This chromebox will definitely not be suitable for full screen 4k video content.

Which player is capable of providing 4k, both h.264 video and more? will a intel compute stick (h.264 is hardware accelerated) be up for the work?

Frank, check out the i3 and i5 Nuc's in our Store, they are both capable of 4K resolution: https://store.risevision.com/products/?cat=Media%20Players

Shoot us an email at support@risevision.com if you have any questions about them.

Thanks!
